Jax Crawls through fall and walks into winter

Hi everyone... There's been a lot going on lately. My first Horns season is turning out to be a good one. Hopefully the media will have the sense to keep us above OU since we took care of them like a dirty diaper in October.

Besides that we went down to the beach for a nice weekend getaway and some music. I got to dip my toesies in the ocean for the first time. I also went on a walk in honor of my late grandpa Michael. Also, I have been living it up at school and meeting lots of new friends.

But the big news is I have taken my first steps. Yeah I still crawl when I need to get somewhere fast, but I am taking more and more steps each day. When I am walking all the time I get to move up to the big kids class at school so I am psyched to get back with some of my old friends. I like my classmates now too, but most of them are still working on tummy time while it does make for a captive audience, I am ready to chase the bigger kids.

So the holidays are fast approaching. I get to finally meet my Aunt Karen and see my Memaw and my cousins Caleb and Jake this week so I am super psyched about that. Hopefully my first plane ride will go well I also can't wait to see my first of many many wins over the hapless Aggies this week. Go Colt! Should be a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll see the rest of you for Christmas. Feel free to come see me anytime just tell Mommy and Daddy you're coming.

I almost forgot, I whipped up this video for ya to check out what I've been up to the past few months. Talk to you soon. Hook Em!

Hook Em JAX!!!

Turn up your speakers and check out Jax's new video from the Horns game and other pics from the last month...

Jax Takes in his first Longhorn experience

I probably should have waited, but on Jax's second day of life of the outside, I told him about the Horns late season collapse last year and being relegated to another insignificant Holiday Bowl. (See reaction shot on the right) Like any good fan though, he pulled it together and began looking to next season where his pulling for the Horns could have a bigger impact.

On Saturday, September 20th, Jax got his first DKR experience when we took him down to tailgate for the Rice game. Since it was a 6pm kickoff and Jax's bedtime is 7:30, he didn't hang out for the whole game, but he can't wait to spend his fall Saturdays cheering on the Horns.

In other news Jax turned 8 months recently and he has been showing the beginnings of letting go for a few seconds while standing. We're thinking he could be walking pretty soon. Other than that he is digging the transition to real food, just like his daddy he loves mac and cheese and all kinds of fruits. Last week he got in some quality time with Grandma Janis who watched him while Daddy and Mommy were at Austin City Limits Fest. Jax will definitely be in tow next year to check out ACL but he had to sit this one out this year. Jax attended last years fest in utero.

NOTE: Be sure and subscribe over on the left if you want to get notified when we update the blog. We will only post once or twice a month in most cases so if you want to hear from Jax let him know. We won't be sending separate update emails. Take care everyone!
